DAVE now at fusionjourney.com

On February 16th, Dave held his most ambitious performance to date – a living fusion with the title "The Fall of Athens", which was held on top of Philopappou hill in Athens, Greece. It was an instant success: Such was the power of the images presented that over the next few days footage of the performance was featured in literally hundreds of media outlets around the world, including MSNBC, Euronews, ITV, The Times, der Stern, Xinhua News, Macleans, Basler Zeitung, 20 minutes, Blick and The Wall Street Journal's own livemint.com.

This performance marks the beginning of Dave's own journey. After helping the ARTMARATHON to get on the road, Dave will now travel on with a project of his own: The Fusion Journey. While he retains his role as a founder of the ARTMARATHON, he is once again concentrating his artistic energy on his own undertakings.

"The Fall of Athens" was the first performance in a series of many still to come, each of which will be held in another city somewhere in the world.

A video of the performance has just been released and is available at www.fusionjourney.com, where you will be able to follow Dave's travels and works from now on.

Planting trees for a brighter Athens

On the morning of Sunday, January 25th, the ARTMARATHON and Athens-based EuroCharity jointly planted 42 trees on Mt. Pentelikon.

ARTMARATHON President Mr. Benedikt Morandi, Co-Director Mrs. Rabea Morandi and EuroCharity President Mr. Peter Michel Heilmann planted these Greek trees as part of a large-scale replanting initiative involving over 30,000 volunteers and 40,000 trees.

Commenting on this effort, Mr. Morandi said: "When you plant a tree, you plant new life. We have planted art and wish to encourage others to do so! We look forward to returning to Mt. Pentelikon when the 'ARTMARATHON' will come to an end here in the birthplace of the Marathon and Democracy in 2050."

"People from all walks of life, young and old, from Greece and abroad, planted a very clear and strong message of hope for today's and tomorrow's generations, right here on the fire-stricken slopes of Mt. Pentelikon," added EuroCharity's President.

EuroCharity and the ARTMARATHON Foundation would like to thank Mr. Dimitris Stergiou-Kapsalis, Mayor of Penteli and President, Association for the Protection and Development of the Pentelikon (SPAP), along with all the volunteers, local communities, SKAI Radio and TV as well as COSMOTE Mobile Telecommunications S.A., a corporate member of EuroCharity, for their contribution to this unique tree-planting day.
